Nay, Nay Paula: Paula Abdul seems extremely pleased with her ALMA Awards gown, at least if her "drink it in, everyone" pose is any indication. And there's plenty to drink in, so much so that we're considering slipping on a life preserver and arm floaties to prevent being swept... more away by the deluge. Much like Paula's "American Idol" critiques, her Barbie-pink and wetsuit-black strapless number is confusing, half-baked and all over the place. Is she channeling a barmaid slinging firewater at the fanciest-schmanciest saloon in the Old West? Or a mermaid who longs to be a flamenco dancer, only to have her dreams crushed when she realizes her castanets don't work underwater? Causing further head scratching are Abdul's excessively beaded choker and earrings, accessories that should be worn only to the Wiccan macramé class in which they were strung.
